These terms cover how you may use CatNicknames. Names are offered as suggestions, as is, and you can use any of them freely for your pets. Notes you send may be edited or removed, and character names mentioned here belong to their owners.

Names are suggestions

The names and notes on this site are offered as is. We do not promise that a name is unused, original or right for your cat. You may use any name for your own pet without asking us.

Notes and suggestions you send

When you send a note, you confirm it is yours to share. We may edit, shorten or remove notes and suggestions, and we show them only after review.

Names that belong to others

Where a page mentions a film, book or game character, the name is used only to describe it and belongs to its owner. We are not affiliated with any franchise. Read the disclaimer for more.

Changes

Using the site

You may read, copy and share names for personal use. Please do not scrape the lists in bulk or repost whole lists as your own. Do not try to break the site or send spam through the note form; we may block anyone who does.

Yes. Email us with the page address and we will remove it where we can.

Are franchise names mine to use commercially?

Character names belong to their owners. Using one for a pet is fine; using one for a product is a separate matter.
