This privacy policy says what CatNicknames collects. We keep it short: the generator runs in your browser, your favorites stay on your device, and we store personal data only when you send a note or a message. We run no ads and no analytics today.

What we collect

If you leave a note on the home page, WordPress stores the name and email you typed, the note itself, your IP address and your browser details. Notes are held for review and are shown only after an editor approves them. Email is never shown. If you email us, we keep the message so we can answer it.

What stays in your browser

Your generator choices and your favorite names are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not sent to us. To clear them, delete this site’s data in your browser settings.

Cookies, ads and analytics

We set no tracking cookies. The only cookie is the WordPress comment cookie, and only if you tick the box to save your details. We use a security plugin and a caching plugin to run the site. We run no advertising and no analytics at the time of writing.

Children

CatNicknames is not aimed at children under 13 (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect their data.

Your choices

Security and hosting

The site runs on a private server with a security plugin that watches for tampering. Messages and notes are visible only to the site editors. If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date.

We do not load third-party ad or tracking scripts. Links to other sites are outside our control, so check their policies when you follow one.
